Gang Crime: A Brief Overview

I've been asked about this by several of our newer crew members, so I figured I'd throw a quick tutorial about it here.

Every member of the Rogues' Isle Raiders crew, even new recruits, have been given the ability to help the gang by participating in the gang crimes. These are crimes just like the normal crimes available to individual pirates, but do not cost nerve points, and pay directly to the gang vault. It's a quick and easy thing to check whenever you are online, and doesn't require any real effort on your part. So, a quick description of how to help out:

1. If you click on the Your Gang link on the sidebar, you'll get to the gang's home page.

2. At the bottom of that page, there's a link that says Manage Gang Crime. Clicking that brings you to the page that tells you whether a gang crime is in progress or not, and allows you to initiate a crime.

3. If a crime is already in progress, the page will tell you to wait until it is over, and there will be an amount of time until it finishes. You have to wait for it to finish before selecting another.

4. If no crime is in progress, there's a selection box to choose which gang crime you'd like to start up. The number of gang members listed in parentheses after the crime refers to how many gang members total that our gang must have in order to attempt that crime. Which means if you see it on the selection bar, we have enough to attempt it. All you have to do is select any one of them and it will start.

5. That's it... you don't have to do anything special while it happens or even stay online, just let the timer run down. If the crime succeeds, money gets added to the gang vault. More money in the gang vault is more resources available to all of the crew for better equipment and other assistance. So get out there and start raidin'!
